RISE INTERNATIONAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The objectives of Primary Level education at RISE International are on building a strong foundation for future growth. With the target that each young man and woman will become lifelong learners, our goals at this level focus on building each student’s self-confidence and motivation to learn. Learning is rewarding, and school is a safe place.

Specific developmental objectives include acquiring literacy, numeracy, social and communication skills. Creativity is recognized and nurtured. Wisdom, critical thinking and logical judgment are developed. Moral character, pride in one’s own culture, the appreciation of other cultures, and an overall global awareness are emphasized. Students learn self-discipline, the dignity of work, and the importance of physical health. Our holistic approach recognizes unique learning styles and builds self-esteem.

During Year 6 all students will be required to take comprehensive assessments that confirm each student’s readiness to proceed to the Secondary Level.

The objectives of Secondary Level at RISE International build upon the foundation that was established during Primary. Critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving are emphasized. Students are encouraged to think about their strengths and weaknesses and future career options. Individual talents are identified and developed. The ability to work and achieve goals as a team is introduced, and social skills, time management and project management are practiced within team concept. Healthy communication techniques and public speaking are practiced. Students learn to become global citizens at this level. And the wise management of technology is modeled.

During Year 9 it is recommended that all students take the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint assessment. Upon completion of Secondary students are prepared for the academic challenges of Secondary Levels 10 and 11 (IGCSE)

RISE International staff will guide students in choosing the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) subjects most appropriate for their personal educational and career goals. Throughout, students are coached on study and testing skills by our qualified Cambridge trained staff. RISE International provides a comfortable learning environment that gives the students the support they need to stay on target, while also increasing personal freedoms as these young adults prepare to attend college and become responsible global citizens.

Our Curriculum

Here at RISE International School, our students are taught based on the International curriculum developed by the Cambridge Assessment International Education, which is used in both Primary (Cambridge International Primary Programme) and Secondary (Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education, IGCSE) schools around the world. Focusing on their academic excellence, we nurture and prepare students for the respective Checkpoint assessments and major international examinations.
